Effect of integrated nutrient management in brinjal (Solanum melongena L.) on micronutrient uptake and physical properties of soil

A field experiment was conducted at the experimental site of Department Soil Science and Water Management, College Horticulture Forestry, Neri, Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh). The consisted eleven treatments which were carried out in randomized block design with three replications. Observations for micronutrient uptake soil physical properties recorded it found that lowest bulk density achieved treatment T6 (100 per cent RDN through vermicompost) T11 vermicompost + Azotobacter). Particle density, porosity water holding capacity also slightly improved application different treatments, however differences not significant. Further, chemical fertilizer or organic manure both without biofertilizer positively influenced (Zn, Cu, Fe Mn) maximum Azotobacter), while minimum observed under T1 (control).
